the spring of 2000 the crew at the home of the
Solar Harvest in Helena decided to intertie with Montana Power Company. "It
was not a simple call," says John Maggitti, founder of the organization.
"First, there was the cost (we are a non-profit organization) and then there
was the philosophical issues to mull through. What we finally came to was that
a net-metered utility interactive
PV system made sense for us."
